Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Radiology Technologist Proficient in X-Ray, DXA, Fluoro, OR exams, Portables, and CT procedures Comprehensive understanding of imaging equipment and PACS systems Experience meeting MQSA standards (for mammography, if applicable) Strong commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and age-specific needs Excellent communication and customer service skills Dedication to ongoing compliance with annual and position-specific training
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain a professional presence and uphold core service values with patients, visitors, and colleagues Accurately verify patient identity and exam orders, collaborating with physicians as needed Explain procedures clearly, respond to patient concerns, and help ease anxieties Select and use appropriate technical factors, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety Carefully document all procedures in compliance with facility and accreditation standards Operate, monitor, and maintain various imaging equipment with thorough technical proficiency Manage efficient workflow while providing compassionate care throughout every phase of the procedure Conduct all required radiological exams independently according to hospital protocols
