Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Elevate your radiology career by utilizing your expertise in interventional imaging. An experienced IR Tech is needed to perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within a high-acuity healthcare setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and make an impact on patient care.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT certification (VI or CV preferred) Active, unrestricted state radiologic technologist license At least 1 year of hands-on interventional radiology experience required Strong proficiency in vascular/interventional studies, patient monitoring, and sterile technique BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Professional communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and conduct a range of IR procedures, such as angiography, stenting, embolization, biopsies, drain placements, and PICC/Midline insertions Accurately position and prepare patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures Operate imaging equipment to acquire optimal images for diagnostic and therapeutic processes Maintain strict adherence to aseptic protocols and infection control policies Monitor patient status, document procedure details, and communicate changes as needed to medical staff Assist in maintaining IR suite supplies, equipment, and readiness for emergencies Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary personnel
