Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract An experienced Imaging - IR Tech is needed for a contract opportunity supporting a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in delivering high-quality interventional radiology services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT (R) certification and ARRT (VI) or (IR) preferred State licensure as required Minimum of one year of recent interventional radiology experience Strong knowledge of IR protocols, safety standards, and equipment operation Excellent communication and organizational skills BLS certification required
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort Operate and maintain IR imaging equipment, ensuring quality images for physician review Strictly adhere to all safety, infection control, and radiation protection guidelines Document patient assessments, procedures, and post-procedure observations accurately Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care Manage supplies and maintain a well-stocked and sterile environment in procedure rooms Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
