Job Description

Radiologic Technologists are responsible for maintaining and using diagnostic imaging equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
EXPERIENCE
An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Radiography or Radiologic Sciences is preferred. One year of CT experience is preferred. Post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (CT) is preferred. Must have certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be able to work towards obtaining certification. Certified and up to date in Basic Life Support
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be available to work on call, when needed, to ensure 24 hour coverage of department. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays, to ensure 24 hour coverage of department. Confidentiality must be maintained in working with medical and patient information. Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands, Strength rating: o Heavy Work
  • Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Prolonged periods of standing or walking are required.
Finger Dexterity and Repetitive Motion:
o Typing/keying comprises a significant amount of work function for this position

Vision and Hearing:
Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients and professional staff.
  • An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Radiography or Radiologic Sciences is preferred.
