Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Fluoroscopy Technician to support our physicians in performing interventional pain management procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience operating fluoroscopy equipment, maintaining radiation safety standards, and assisting with image-guided procedures. Responsibilities Operate C-arm fluoroscopy equipment during interventional pain procedures Prepare and disinfect procedure rooms and equipment Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and applying aseptic techniques to prevent infection Assist with specialized scans such as DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scans for bone density assessment and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans for metabolic activity analysis Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures, patient information, and equipment calibration logs Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, radiation protection standards, and infection control practices Support the setup and calibration of imaging devices, including understanding complex anatomy and medical terminology to optimize image quality Qualifications Experience or training in medical imaging techniques, particularly fluoroscopy procedures Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging Demonstrated understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices in a clinical setting Ability to operate advanced medical imaging equipment safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills to effectively explain procedures and collaborate with healthcare teams Certification or licensure as a radiologic technologist or fluoroscopy technician is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour
