Job Description

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Position Summary Join RadX Inc. dba Chattanooga Imaging as a Mammography Technologist, who performs high-quality mammographic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, facility protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging quality standards, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting compliance with accreditation and quality assurance programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet, identify, and prepare patients for mammography examinations. Explain procedures and address patient questions and concerns. Obtain and document relevant patient history. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the imaging process. Assess patients for contraindications and communicate concerns to the radiologist or referring provider as appropriate. Mammography Procedures Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Operate digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis equipment safely and efficiently. Perform additional mammographic views as requested by radiologists. Assist with breast localization procedures and other breast imaging services as required. Quality and Compliance Adhere to all requirements of the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Food and Drug Administration Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), and applicable state regulations. Participate in quality assurance and quality control testing. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, radiation safety, and facility policies. Participate in accreditation inspections and audits as assigned. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography R. ARRT certification in Mammography M. Current state licensure as required. Current BLS certification. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population. Preferred One or more years of mammography experience. Experience with breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography). Experience in an outpatient imaging environment. Knowledge of ACR accreditation and FDA/MQSA and state of Tennessee requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to assist patients with positioning and transfers. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate image quality.
