Job Description

Certified Bone Densitometrist Location:
Jackson, TN 38305 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and certified Bone Densitometrist to perform bone density exams and diagnostic radiographs. The ideal candidate will practice appropriate patient care, recognize patient conditions essential for the completion of procedures, and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities Perform bone density exams and diagnostic radiographs accurately and efficiently. Practice appropriate patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures. Recognize patient conditions that are essential for the successful completion of bone density procedures. Operate densitometry equipment and related computer programs proficiently. Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures performed. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to bone densitometry. Proficient in the use of densitometry equipment and associated computer software. Skilled in radiologic technology and bone densitometry techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to provide compassionate and professional patient care. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Education Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. Completed additional training for bone density studies from an approved institution such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Bone Densitometry course or the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). Must maintain continuing education unit (CEU) requirements to stay current in the field. Experience Experience performing radiologic exams. Minimum required hours of training in bone density procedures. Certification and Licensure Current certification as a Bone Densitometrist from a recognized certifying body. Valid state licensure as required. ```
