About us: Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics has an exciting opportunity to join our family as a PRN MRI Technologist at our Harding Place - Nashville, TN office. Position Goal:
Performs exceptional imaging procedures using radio frequency waves and strong magnetic fields at a high technical level.
Position Responsibilities:
Operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes while taking into account each physician's protocol. Puts patients at ease and keeps safety a priority. Keeps patients mentally and physically comfortable. Organizes and prepares images/patient history/paperwork for radiologists' interpretation by use of fax and Teleradiology via internet. Injects patients with contrast material. Stocks MRI rooms with appropriate materials. Completes appropriate paperwork and computer applications. Ensures that images meet the established quality standards. Must have command of PACS and be able to assist other staff members as needed. Assists with entering MRI reports into patient's charts.

Education:
Required :
High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
Special Qualifications:
Required :
BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy Basic computer and administrative skills Must be able to work independently Must display excellent interpersonal skills This position requires local travel via personal vehicle so a valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire are required (MVR will be screened on an annual basis.)
