  • Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures at a technical level which does not require direct supervision and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
  • What you will do in this role:
  • + •Position and transfers patients.
  • + •Provides immobilization devices as required.
  • + •Selects proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis.
  • + •Operates equipment as directed.
  • + •Provides Magnet protection in accordance with prescribed safety standard.
  • + •Practices sterile techniques when necessary.
  • + •Cross trains in specific areas as assigned.
  • + •May be required to train technologists in specific areas•+ •Maintains own skills and understanding in innovations in techniques and equipment in the field of magnetic resonance.
  • + •Participates in call system.
  • + •Maintains adequate records as directed.
  • + •Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the department.
  • + •Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the dept.
  • + •Rotates within the department by shift as required.
  • + •Assists in equipment calibration.
  • + •Maintains ethical relationship's with patients and peers.
  • + •Subject to rules and regulations of the Diagnostic Imaging dept and DRMC as outlined in the respective procedure manuals.
  • + •Other related duties as assigned.
  • What qualifications you will need:
  • + •Associate Degree, and High School Graduate / GED, or Vocational School Graduate•+ •Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or Heart Saver CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date•+ •(ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists•Benefits•Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
