Summary:
Vighter LLC is recruiting Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) to provide patient care support at the CRDAMC. Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) are responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients to ensure that the quality of the studies adhere to established standards. The standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding all recognized national standards.
Responsibilities:
Performing screening and diagnostic mammography examinations. Preparing, educating, and positioning patients for mammographic imaging. Operating digital mammography equipment and producing high-quality diagnostic images. Reviewing image quality and repeating studies when necessary. Performing daily quality control, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance. Documenting patient examinations and quality assurance activities in
EMR/PACS.
Assisting radiologists with breast ultrasound procedures, stereotactic biopsies, localization procedures, and tissue handling. Supporting MQSA documentation and mammography record management. Collaborating with radiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Maintaining compliance with MQSA, DHA, HIPAA, radiation safety, infection control, and National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG).
Requirements:
Education:
Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Experience:
Minimum one (1) year experience in specialty.
Certification:
Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification. Current ARRT Mammography (M) certification. Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License (if required). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Duty Hours /
On-call Requirements:
40 hours per week Sunday-Saturday Day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts Up to 12-hour shifts
