- Allied Health UTMB Health Requisition # 2603414 The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).

JOB SUMMARY
_- :•Position works independently to complete a variety of routine, diagnostic radiology procedures to include common and special fluoroscopic exams of routine to moderate complexity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
_- :•+ Promotes a positive work environment.
MANAGE UP
techniques, when speaking to patients and family members at an age-appropriate level. + Performs diagnostic radiologic procedures to include common, special and fluoroscopy diagnostic exams of moderate complexity. + Practices radiation safety and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) + Follows safety standards and conducts all imaging procedures accordingly. + Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures. + Complies with job role, department and hospital safety standards, practices and policies. + Participates in WASTE walks and supports department LEAN projects. + Reports near misses and inputs errors promptly into appropriate hospital patient safety reporting system to improve processes and identify trends. + Performs imaging equipment quality control (QC) at required intervals to ensure all imaging equipment is in safe working order prior to use + Utilizes critical thinking skills to observe and proactively address patient reactions (i.e. medications) or potential outcomes and obtains assistance, as appropriate. + Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures. Enters charges at the time service is delivered. + Uses resources efficiently; does not waste supplies. + Troubleshoots equipment failures and reports such failures to the appropriate department, and notifies his/her manager. + Maintains HIPPA compliance by protecting patient privacy. + Maintains constant Joint Commission and/or ACA Readiness. + Works in a high volume, stressful environment. + Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure established for department. + Performs related duties as required.- _
