• + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.

+ Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. + Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques. + Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. + Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• + Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma + Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately + Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility + Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals + Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry + Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office + Patient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations + Must be able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standards + Ability to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.

+ Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety + Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail + Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians + This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality + Must be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy + Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environment + Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the department

• Education:

• + Associate [Preferred] + Bachelor's [Preferred] + High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Work Experience:

• + 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program

• Licenses and Certifications:

• + Registered Technologist
• Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT))[Required] + Medical Radiologic Technologist License with Texas Medical Board (MRT)

• CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
