Hourly Rate/Range:
up to $70 per hour For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors. Job Summary Operates PET CT equipment to produce fused imaging of patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table, using supportive devices to obtain precise patient position and following protocols specified by the radiologist. Administers radioisotopes under the supervision of the Radiologist. Reviews patient's medical history and pending procedure to provide the best imaging outcomes. Provides excellent communication skills to the patient before, during and after the procedure. Takes an active role in radiation reduction for the safety of both the patient and the employee. Recognizes and reacts immediately to any emergency patient conditions and initiates codes as per hospital protocols. Essential Functions C. Job Specific Contacts 1.

C. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Demonstrates the required job specific technical professional knowledge, skills and abilities. 1. Responsible for Preparing and administering radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) for diagnosis and treatment 2. Responsible for operating imaging equipment to produce detailed fused scans of specific areas of the body 3. Well versed in Providing more complex technical care to ensure high quality images 4. Must be able to Perform efficiently in emergency situations 5. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills 6. Will be responsible for all QA for regulatory and system requirements 7. Will participate in accrediting agency and regulatory inspections 8. Must be well versed in the National Patient Safety Goals as set forth by the Joint Commission and NYSDOH as it relates to patient safety including but not limited to patient double identifier, infection control prevention, proper medication management and radiation safety management 9. Will be responsible for order management of all supplies and radionuclides 10. Will have an active role in hospital meetings as they relate to quality, safety, engagement and financial responsibility Document on addendum age specific competency.
