Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs radiology procedures within the professional parameters, supervising and coordinating the operation and performance of the diagnostic area of Radiology in the absence of the Senior Technologist. Assumes responsibilities for designated areas and assures procedures are performed promptly and efficiently. Manages assigned personnel, and when appropriate provides effective administrative and technical guidance and direction to staff. Complies with instructions from the QA/QC Supervisor and Senior Technologist. Contributes to the overall success of the Radiology team. Supports University Health System's policies, values and guest relations initiatives at all times.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), Texas Department of Health (MRT) Certification and hold current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is required. Three or more years of experience as a registered technologist and practical knowledge of managerial or supervisory skills or experience are required.
