Job Description
Responsibilities:
Mobile X-Ray Technologist Duties Travel to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, private residences, and other healthcare locations to perform diagnostic X-ray examinations. Safely operate portable digital X-ray equipment and imaging software. Verify patient identity and physician orders before performing examinations. Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Practice proper radiation safety by following ALARA principles and using appropriate shielding and personal protective equipment. Evaluate images for diagnostic quality before transmitting them. Upload and transmit images electronically to the interpreting radiologist in a timely manner. Communicate professionally with physicians, nurses, facility staff, patients, and family members. Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations. Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary. Clean and disinfect equipment between patients following infection control guidelines. Safely transport, secure, and maintain portable imaging equipment in company vehicles. Manage daily schedules and travel efficiently to assigned facilities. Respond to STAT and after-hours imaging requests when assigned. Maintain required certifications and state licensure. Follow all company policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards. Provide compassionate, professional patient care while working independently in the fielRequirements:
- Valid
ARRT, TMB
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and adherence to regulatory guidelines
