This role involves performing radiographic mammography procedures to generate high-quality diagnostic images essential for detecting breast tissue abnormalities.

Responsibilities:

Verify patient identity and examination orders; prepare patients for mammography exams. Conduct radiologic mammography exams following departmental protocols, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages. Operate and adjust mammographic equipment to produce clear, diagnostic images. Employ radiation protection measures to safeguard patients and staff, adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. Maintain proficiency by staying informed on the latest mammography techniques and equipment. Accurately complete all required documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, including records mandated by JCAHO and the Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control. Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience. Bachelor's degree in a health science program from an accredited institution. Valid Utah State Radiologic Technologist License. ARRT (R)(M) certification is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Radiation badge required for occupational safety compliance.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour workdays per week. Weekend availability is required.
