Job Description

This is a bit different than a typical radiology tech role. The on-staff tech will manage our large c-arm cases and then when no radiology need cases are happening, they assist like an OR aide. Please explain that the position is more than just x-ray. We do not have cases that need rad support all the time, so to rationalize the role they must help the OR teams. Training obviously would happen here for those needs. The hours are M-F; 0700-1530 Here is our job posting:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Provide real-time imaging support during surgical procedures using C-arm and mini C-arm equipment Monitor and uphold radiation safety standards for patients, physicians, and staff Ensure compliance with equipment inspections, dosimeter monitoring, and regulatory requirements Maintain proficiency with C-arm, and mini C-arm equipment Inspect and maintain protective equipment including lead aprons and shields Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal imaging and workflow Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and patient care Support overall OR efficiency by assisting with additional perioperative duties as assigned Maintains all records for inspections and radiation monitoring.
REQUIREMENTS
Completion of an appropriate radiographic technician program. Certification preferred. Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required. ARRT certification preferred Current BLS certification Experience with C-arm imaging preferred; OR experience is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a surgical team. #HC3

$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
