Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Diagnostic Imaging/CT Radiology Technologist is preferred to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging and/or CT and have committed hours to UVM Medical Center (UVMMC). They demonstrate progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the Radiology department. A Technologist in this position should expect to perform imaging examinations within both CT and Diagnostic Imaging modalities in a given shift. They operate a variety of x-ray and CT equipment to perform routine imaging, fluoroscopic and operating room procedures according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.
EDUCATION
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. In good standing with the ARRT. Holds a valid CT state license. Advanced CT certification by the ARRT is required within 1 year of being hired into the position. CPR certified.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years of Radiology/CT experience is preferred. Experience with students in an accredited School of Radiology, techniques and equipment, as well as an awareness of current quality assurance practices. Demonstrates superior technical skills and knowledge.
