as needed The CHA Imaging department provides advanced medical imaging services led by a team of board-certified physicians, certified technologists and service-oriented staff . We offer a full complement of imaging services including a 128-slice CT and a wide bore 1.5T MRI. We also offer interventional radiology services, diagnostic X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. We are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) which demonstrates our commitment to the safest and best quality care possible. The Radiology Department is committed to providing patients with the highest quality of care in an efficient and timely manner. The department will be as accessible and sensitive to patient's comfort, safety and dignity as possible within the scope of services. Summary Under the direction of the Network MRI Supervisor assists technologists in MRI Imaging with non-technical aspects of the department including such areas as patient transport, supply and inventory issues, patient pre and posttest prep and computer entry work. Responsibilities
  • Triage of phone calls to appropriate personnel, takes messages accurately and delivers them promptly.
  • Schedules patients accurately when required.
  • Requests transportation of patients or transports patients to and from facility departments and radiology for testing and procedures.
  • Requests and monitors requests for interpreters as required.
  • Responsible for assisting the patients to prepare for their Breast Imaging exam and assisting with completions of patient history documentation.
  • Inventories supplies, places orders as necessary and stocks incoming supplies.
  • Enters imaging exam orders into the radiology information system for technologists as necessary.
  • Enters begin and end procedure times into the radiology information system as necessary.
  • Runs logged exam list daily and moves exams to completion or cancelled.
  • Works on Incomplete lists to resolve reporting issues including retrieval of outside imaging
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education/Training:
High School Diploma required
Certifications:
Medical Assisting Certificate preferred, AHA BLS required
Linguistic Capabilities:
Knowledge of a second language preferred.
Work Experience:
One year of previous experience as a medical assistant or equivalent experience as determined by the Director or designee. Minimum of one year administrative duties in a clinical setting preferred.
