REG RAD TECH - UFCW
Registered Radiology Tech:
This 0.0 FTE/Per-diem position is scheduled to work 8-HR variable shifts as needed and is UFCW represented
Compensation:
Non-exempt, $36.57/HR - $57.97/

Job Summary:
Under the professional guidance of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures Assist radiologist with imaging procedures. Instructs patients regarding procedures. Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis. Observes patients for vital signs during examination. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment; cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiological equipment. Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies. Evaluate images for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Film/transmit to PACS. Participates in training employees, residents and student technologists in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance. Maintain accurate patient records. Performs all aspects of patient care in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors; documents according to established standards; communicates effectively. Develops and maintains professional and clinical skills. Completes all annual competency and education requirements within established parameters and timeframes. Participates in staff meetings, patient care meetings, educational in-services and other professional activities. Maintains awareness of policies and procedures and performance standards. Assist in the orientation and training to new Rad technologists. Other duties as assigned. Required Licenses, Certifications and/or
Registrations:
Current active status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Washington State Certification in Radiologic Technology. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 180 days of hire. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of picture archiving communication systems (PACS). Basic to intermediate level computer skills to include knowledge of current computer applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with hospital/clinic processes and terminology. Ability to understand and implement HIPAA compliance and Image checkout / electronic transfer requirements. Ability to read, understand and interpret information from a variety of sources and to understand and follow complex instructions. Interpersonal and communication skills as necessary to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks effectively to meet quality and productivity requirements. Demonstrated customer service skills.
