Job Description
Job Summary Reports to Radiology Director Works closely with Radiology staff, patients, medical staff, and families as well as other depts. Responsibilities Operates Radiology equipment Able to use PACS Able to use hospital information system Demonstrates proper patient prep for procedures Explains procedure to patient Provides patient history and reason for exam Maintains CPR certification Responsible for patient safety Adheres to Joint Commission Safety Goals Operates power injector Follows Cat Scan protocols Knows and explains preps to patient for Cat Scan Operates CT equipment correctly Shows knowledge of pre and post contrast protocols Provides history of patient for Radiologist for CT Reviews questions or issues with radiologist when needed Responsible for having patient sign consent when contrast is needed Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of current trends and technology in
Radiology and CATSCAN Heavy Work:
Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly. Education Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program (Required) Credentials Amer Registry of Rad Techs (Required) Radiologic Technologist, Licen (Required)
