Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Temporary Activity Director & Resident Experience Specialist to enhance the quality of life for residents in our senior living community. This role is vital in creating engaging, meaningful activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for enriching the lives of older adults, especially those with memory care needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and execute a variety of engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia. Foster a warm and inclusive community atmosphere by encouraging participation in social events, outings, and therapeutic programs. Collaborate with caregiving staff to identify individual resident needs and develop personalized activity plans that support their physical, emotional, and cognitive health. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring safety and comfort during participation. Manage scheduling of activities to ensure a balanced calendar that promotes consistent engagement across all residents. Provide counseling on aging issues and offer support that enhances residents' social well-being and independence. Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity feedback, and progress reports for ongoing program improvement. Skills Proven experience in event planning within assisted living or nursing home settings. Strong background in senior care, including memory care, Alzheimer's care, and dementia support strategies. Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques tailored to individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, and team members. Ability to assist with ADLs such as mobility, grooming, and medication reminders when necessary. Skilled in schedule management to coordinate multiple activities seamlessly throughout each day. Compassionate approach to caregiving with an understanding of aging issues counseling and social work principles. Familiarity with long-term care environments and home & community care practices to ensure holistic resident support. Pay:
