We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Director to lead our residents through engaging, purposeful experiences that support connection, comfort, and quality of life each day!
The ideal candidate:
We're looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate Activity Director with hands-on experience in life enrichment or activity programming. You have a genuine passion for supporting residents and enjoy creating meaningful, engaging experiences that bring joy, comfort, and connection to their day. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, and can lead both group and individualized activities. You are creative, adaptable, and patient, with a calm presence that reassures residents and families alike. You enjoy building relationships and inspiring a person-centered culture of engagement throughout the community.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead Meaningful Activities:
Plan and facilitate at least three daily programs designed specifically for independent living residents. Engage with
Residents :
Spend approximately 80 percent of your time actively engaging with residents, providing cueing, redirection, and encouragement. The remaining time will focus on planning and program coordination.
Personalized Engagement:
Develop one on one and small group experiences for residents who benefit from individualized support or are unable to participate in larger groups.
Family and Community Education:
Coordinate monthly educational opportunities that help families understand care, engagement strategies, and ways to support their loved ones.
Train and Inspire:
Partner with team members to promote person centered engagement throughout the community and share best practices.
Required:
Must be at least 21 years old Passion for activities such as music, sensory engagement, cooking, and arts and crafts Strong time management and organizational skills Willingness to drive a bus and assist with outings Flexibility to work some weekends High school diploma or equivalent
