Full-Time or Part-Time Position Summary We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility in Temple City, CA. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through engaging, therapeutic recreational programs that support residents' mental, emotional, and physical well-being . Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and lead therapeutic recreation programs tailored to residents' needs and abilities Plan and facilitate individual and group activities that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, mobility, and emotional wellness Assess residents' interests, functional abilities, and therapeutic goals Document participation, progress, and outcomes in accordance with care plans and regulatory requirements Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including nursing, therapy, and social services Encourage resident engagement and foster a positive, inclusive environment Maintain compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and safety standards Participate in special events, outings, and holiday programming as appropriate Qualifications Current Recreation Therapist license or certification (as required by state regulations) Experience working in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Benefits (for Full-Time Employees) Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling (Full-Time or Part-Time options) Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents' lives Work Environment Skilled Nursing Facility serving an elderly population Engaging, resident-focused culture
