Lead and Be Part of A Great Team:

Director of Aftercare Contra Costa Jewish Day School (CCJDS) is seeking a new Aftercare Director for our vibrant and busy after-school program. CCJDS kids love coming to Aftercare!! We are a K-8 independent school with approximately 170 students, accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The Aftercare Director is a key member of our school community. Aftercare Director Responsibilities Lead an engaging aftercare program that is safe, consistent, and respectful while collaborating with and managing other aftercare staff Be on site for all program hours and additional time per contract. Aftercare hours run from Monday-Thursday 2-6pm and Fridays 1-5pm. This includes prep time. The Director position is a 50% part-time position. However, if more than 50% is desired, we often have opportunities for additional work, such as teaching support and lunchtime supervision, earlier in the day (on a substitute or possibly regular basis). Oversee supplemental after-school enrichment programs (typically provided by outside groups). Work with CCJDS Business Manager to manage Aftercare Program budget and payments Leave aftercare areas organized and ready for the next day Be available, as needed, to staff to discuss particular students' needs Communicate frequently with parents regarding the aftercare program, student behavior and scheduling of after-school enrichment classes Attend Staff Professional Days and provide conference care for students or other needed support during Parent-Teacher Conferences This is a great job for someone who enjoys being with kids, mostly grades K-4, is well-organized, and is seeking a chance to lead an uplifting and important program.

Compensation:

$27-$35/hour based on education and experience. Compensation includes medical and dental benefits for the employee (prorated based on part-time status) and the option to enroll family members (premium required) and 403(b) contribution.
