The Children Director will serve as a vital leader within our community, inspiring both children and volunteers through energetic leadership and compassionate care. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic children's programs that align with our mission and values, ensuring engaging activities that promote spiritual growth and social development. Lead, train, and mentor volunteer teams to create a supportive and enthusiastic environment for children of all ages. Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, and outreach activities that encourage community involvement and faith-based learning. Provide bereavement support and counseling to children experiencing loss or hardship, offering comfort and guidance rooted in Christian principles. Collaborate with parents and families to support their children's spiritual education and address individual needs with clear communication skills. Oversee safety protocols, health guidelines, and facility maintenance to ensure a secure environment for all children. Manage program budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently while exploring fundraising opportunities to enhance ministry offerings. Requirements Proven experience working with children Prior leadership roles preferred. Strong knowledge of hospice care principles related to end-of-life support for children when applicable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and community partners. Demonstrated ability in event planning, program development, and team mentoring. Compassionate leadership style with a passion for mentoring youth through faith-based initiatives. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, transparency, and empathy while maintaining confidentiality.
