Job Description

We are seeking a new activity director for our senor assisted living facility. As the activities director, you will be in charge of facilitating different activities for the residents of the facility.
Duties are as follows:
Design, organize, and evaluate a planned activity program - programs must be planned at least one month in advance and submitted to the administrator Make sure that activities are available to every resident and will include activities to foster and maintain independent functioning and develop and maintain strength, coordination, and range of motion Encourage residents to participate in the planning, preparation, conduction, cleanup, and critique of planned activities Posting a monthly calendar of events Plan and maintain a budget for all activities Submitting budgetary recommendations for equipment and supplies Monitoring patient health and providing reports to caregivers Assist and transport residents using the company vehicle to and from medical appointments and/or social activities Assist other departments with care and service of the residents
Experience:
Previous experience in a nursing facility is preferred but not required Certified in or willing to acquire CPR and First Aid; experience with patient monitoring and vital signs measurement is essential Demonstrates compassion for seniors or individuals with disabilities; strong communication skills for working effectively within a team or social work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age At least one-year experience in conducting group activities Hold an activity director certificate or other equivalent work experience per regulations Knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs and supervising or training employees/residents/volunteers Providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents Knowledge of applicable facility rules and regulations Good physical health Criminally cleared by the DOJ and FBI via Live-Scan process prior to employment and be able to pass drug testing Clean driving record as per the insurance carrier's policy Join us to provide heartfelt caregiving that truly transforms lives!
