Colorado Springs, CO Status:
Full-Time Pay:
$22-$26/hour Sundance is seeking an Activities Director to lead a consistent, well-structured program that supports resident engagement and overall quality of life. This role is fully integrated within the interdisciplinary team, working closely with nursing and therapy to ensure activities are aligned with care plans, resident needs, and daily routines. The focus is on delivering a program that is organized, meaningful, and reliably executed.
What You'll Do:
Lead and oversee the daily activities program with consistency and follow-through Develop and implement programming based on resident interests, abilities, and care plans Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and contribute to care planning Adapt activities to support residents with cognitive and physical limitations, including memory care Complete assessments, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance Maintain and execute monthly calendars that reflect meaningful engagement opportunities Coordinate volunteers, community involvement, and outside resources Manage program supplies, scheduling, and overall organization
What You Bring:
Experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare (SNF/LTC preferred) Activity Director Certification (ADC) or ability to obtain Experience supporting residents with dementia or cognitive impairment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to engage residents across a range of needs and abilities Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication
