Job Description

Job Overview Job Title:
Sexual Assault Therapist- Full-Time, (focused on adolescents) located in the Kent & Sussex County (In-person)
General Description:
Responsible for high quality sexual assault support services, coordination of victim services, which offers case-management, follow-up care to victims, coordination of sexual assault victims services, outreach to underserved populations including hospital and court accompaniments and facilitate presentations to the community, individual/group therapy for victims of sexual assault and assist the other full-time Sexual Assault Therapist.
Specific Functions:
1. Sexual Assault Therapist provides direct individual and group therapy to sexual assault victims. 2. Sexual Assault Therapist provides follow-up care with sexual assault victims including middle/high school-aged group 3. Sexual Assault Therapist provides support, information, and referrals through telephone contact. 4. Sexual Assault Therapist provides accompaniments to local hospitals, police stations, and courts. 5. Sexual Assault Therapist must be able to respond within an hour to local hospitals and police stations. 6. Sexual Assault Therapist must take on shifts, monthly. 7. Conducts outreach to targeted audiences and staffing information tables 8. Distributes posters and brochures to targeted audiences 9. Develop and present educational programs to a diverse population. 10. Communicates ContactLifeline's mission, purpose and general contact information to the public to build awareness of the agency and its programs and services. 11. Establishes and maintains a network of agencies and school-based clinics to generate referrals and facilitate the delivery of services. 12. Attend meetings and work collaboratively with partner agencies as necessary. 13. Assists the other full-time sexual assault therapist with individual and group therapy to sexual assault survivors, including middle and high school-aged youth in the Kent and Sussex counties. 14. Maintains clinical records and submits programmatic reports. 15. Be aware of community resources and make appropriate referrals. 16. Submits all required reports/paperwork within the established time frames. 17. Accepts other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Training/Experience:
Master Degree in Counseling (General), Psychology, Social Work or related field. Two or more years' experience in direct service delivery. Knowledge of sexual assault treatment options. Detail oriented, organized, and a skilled planner and an ability to multitask. Comfortable working with youth. Ability to maintain good working relationships and work within a team with a variety of people and groups. Ability to manage a flexible schedule to assure 24/7 sexual assault services coverage for accompaniments to hospital and police. Valid driver's license required. Ability to create a comfortable atmosphere and communicate sensitive issues. Ability to use Microsoft office programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must become qualified to serve as a Sexual Assault Specialist (44 hours of training provided).
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Office setting and on-site school location and in-state travel required. May occasionally lift thirty (30) pounds of weight.

$45,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
