Duties Develop and coordinate a diverse calendar of resident-centered events, celebrations, and recreational activities tailored to seniors' interests and needs Collaborate with care teams to incorporate meaningful activities that promote socialization, memory care, and overall well-being Lead the planning and execution of special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, themed parties, and community outings Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and cultural backgrounds to personalize celebrations Manage event logistics including scheduling, setup, supplies procurement, and volunteer coordination Document event participation and gather feedback to continuously improve programming quality Assist with resident engagement by facilitating recreational therapy sessions and supporting activities that enhance cognitive function Requirements Proven experience in event planning or recreational programming within senior living facilities or assisted living environments Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities Strong communication skills for engaging residents, families, staff, and community partners effectively Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care settings is highly preferred Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Compassionate attitude with a passion for enhancing seniors' quality of life through creative programming Join us as a Celebrations Coordinator to inspire joy, foster community spirit, and make every day special for our residents!
