The mission of the Coral Ridge Yacht Club is to provide our diverse membership a high-quality private Club experience, rich with opportunities to engage in social, dining, yachting, and recreational activities, distinguished by modern amenities, in a friendly, welcoming environment. Summary The Social Activities Coordinator (SAC) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting programs and events for members at the Club. The SAC will manage and oversee the rollout of creative and innovative educational and recreational activities while delivering exceptional experience to all age groups. Additional responsibilities include managing staff, and counselors on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have a magnetic personality that brings creative and out-of-the-box ideas with a warm and welcoming personality. The SAC will work closely with other Club department leaders to cultivate synergy in a team-based organization. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and F&B. Essential Functions In conjunction with Membership Sales, performing new member connect 30, 60, 90 days after joining. Supervise the successful production and delivery of Member & Youth programming and events (i.e., Kids Club, Club events, Special events). Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate children's program staff as needed. Partner with Social Committee to develop or enhance, implement, and supervise programming. Work with the Communication Coordinator to create new and exciting Youth Programs. Assemble the decorations and floral arrangements as needed for each Club event and weekly dining room use. Assist with maintaining Social Media platforms (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and digital communications including current website, e-blasts, and event calendar. Prepare weekly activity reports as needed. Ongoing financial responsibilities, including but not limited to: Reviewing and ensuring accurate billing to Members, producing break-even and actual profit & loss reports for each event, inputting for creation of programming budget, and developing multiple and diverse revenue-generating activities for Members and their children. Complete payroll timesheets for social activities staff. Perform all other tasks and projects assigned. Qualifications Minimum of three years experience in event planning and recreation in a club or similar setting. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) required. Valid CPR/AED/First Aid certifications required. Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Members, their children. Ability to create and foster a positive teamwork environment. Excellent verbal, written, listening, and customer service skills. Genuine enjoyment and passion for working with children and families. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations required. Ability to work a varying schedule based on the Club's needs required. This schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
