Life Engagement Director

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Life Engagement Director to lead and inspire vibrant programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This pivotal role involves designing, coordinating, and executing engaging activities tailored to the diverse needs of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory care. Duties Develop and implement innovative activity programs focused on senior care, memory care, Alzheimer's care, and recreational therapy that align with residents' interests and abilities Coordinate engaging events, outings, and social gatherings to foster community involvement and enhance residents' social connections Collaborate with healthcare teams to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring residents' physical and emotional needs are met with compassion Manage schedules for staff and volunteers involved in activity planning and execution to ensure seamless program delivery Provide counseling and support related to aging issues, dementia care strategies, and long-term care planning for residents and their families Maintain detailed records of activities, resident participation, and feedback to continually improve program quality Foster a positive environment by working closely with staff across departments to promote holistic resident well-being Skills Proven experience in event planning within assisted living or nursing home settings, especially involving seniors or individuals with disabilities Strong background in Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and long-term care environments Excellent communication skills to engage residents effectively and collaborate with healthcare professionals and families Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques tailored for aging populations or those with cognitive impairments Ability to manage multiple schedules efficiently while maintaining flexibility for resident needs Compassionate caregiving approach with experience assisting residents with ADLs (activities of daily living) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance Familiarity with home & community care practices along with counseling on aging issues Join us as a Life Engagement Director where your enthusiasm fuels vibrant communities!
