A Recreational Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

- We are seeking a Recreational Therapist PRN who is driven, hard-working, and loves to help others.
- As a Recreational Therapist in Behavioral Health at our facility you will be joining a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve.
In this role:
- + •You will develop and implement activities for patients to help foster self-awareness, increase social skills, and promote healthy creativity to effectively reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and manage behaviors.
- + •You will be responsible for assessing patient needs and completing patient assessments.
- + •You will plan and implement regular groups to meet the needs of patients.
- + •You will evaluate and document treatment goals and outcomes related to groups and patient involvement.
- + •You will assist in the supervision and mentoring of Recreational Therapy interns and new Recreational Therapists.
- What qualifications you will need:
