In this role, you will be responsible for creating and leading meaningful programs and activities that enrich the lives of our residents and promote social connection, physical wellness, and emotional well-being. The Activity Director plays a key role in building a vibrant community atmosphere by planning events, encouraging resident participation, and developing programs tailored to individual interests and abilities. This position works closely with residents, families, staff, and volunteers to create a welcoming environment where residents feel connected, valued, and engaged. Minimum Qualifications Experience working with seniors in a supportive living, assisted living, or healthcare environment Strong organizational and communication skills Experience in activity programming, recreational therapy, or a related field Preferred Qualifications Experience with event planning and community engagement Knowledge of therapeutic recreation practices Ability to develop creative and inclusive programs for older adults Responsibilities Plan, develop, and lead a variety of recreational, social, and wellness activities for residents Coordinate daily programs, special events, and holiday celebrations Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure activities are well organized and successfully carried out Encourage resident participation and involvement in community life Gather feedback from residents to help shape future programming Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for all residents Maintain activity calendars, supplies, and program materials as needed Skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging resident programs Ability to adapt activities to meet varying interests, needs, and ability levels Compassionate and resident-focused approach Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments Equal Opportunity Employer High Point Residence is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
