Encourage Engagement. Support Quality of Life. Central Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Director to lead our resident activity and engagement programs. The Activities Director plays an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our residents. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating programs that support residents' social, emotional, recreational, cognitive, and physical well-being while encouraging participation and meaningful daily experiences. What We Offer Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Supportive leadership and collaborative team environment Professional development opportunities Opportunity to create meaningful programs for residents Team-oriented long-term care environment Your Responsibilities Will Include Plan, develop, coordinate, and oversee resident activity programs Create an activity calendar that provides a variety of recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic opportunities Develop programs based on resident interests, abilities, needs, and preferences Encourage resident participation and engagement in individual and group activities Coordinate special events, celebrations, outings, and facility programs Supervise and provide direction to Activities Department staff Maintain accurate activity documentation and resident participation records Complete required assessments and contribute to resident care planning Collaborate with nursing, social services, dietary, rehabilitation, and other departments Communicate with residents and families regarding activities and programming Assist residents who may require additional encouragement or individualized activities Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas Support volunteer and community involvement when appropriate Ensure activity programming meets applicable regulatory and facility requirements Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives as required Promote resident dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life What We're Looking For Previous experience in activities, recreation, social services, long-term care, or a related field preferred Previous experience working with older adults preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Creative approach to developing resident-centered programming Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead, motivate, and engage residents and staff Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain required documentation Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach Knowledge of long-term care regulations and activity programming preferred Must meet applicable health and background requirements Work Setting Skilled Nursing Facility | Long-Term Care Resident-Centered Programming | Collaborative Team Environment At Central Nursing Home, activities are an important part of helping residents remain connected, engaged, and involved in their community.
