The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for working with Seniors, and a talent for creating diverse and meaningful activity offerings.
Skills Needed Leadership:
The ability to monitor, mentor, lead and motivate a team of Activity Assistants to provide engaging and age-appropriate activities for the residents in our community.
Creativity:
Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
Supportive Presence:
Creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
Time Management:
Balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep.
Collaboration:
Works with and promotes collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and two years' experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting or satisfactory completion of an Activities Director training.
