Job Description:
The Activity Director is a valuable member of our health care team who plans, directs, and coordinates appropriate resident activity programs, using the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the facility.

Breckenridge Commons is an assisted living facility located in Sullivan, Indiana. Breckenridge Commons is seeking a compassionate Activity Director to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional care for our residents. About the
Role:
Breckenridge Commons is seeking an Activity Director- To assess the residents of the facility on an individual basis and formulate plans of care accordingly. To develop an activity program which is appropriate to the residents in the facility, based on their varied backgrounds, problems, needs, and enjoyments. To develop work assignments for all activities personnel. To advise Administrator as to the number and qualifications of activities personnel required to meet the residents' needs and the type and number of supplies and equipment required to fulfill the objectives of the activities program.
About you:
The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience: High School Graduate or its equivalent Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license. Has completed a State approved Activity Program Training Course; or is a Qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist; or is a Qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant. Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies and ability to remain calm under stress. Must be capable of extended periods of standing and bending.
