We are seeking an Activities Director to join our team at Colfax Nursing and Rehab in Colfax. In this pivotal role, you will design and implement engaging activities that promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. Your contributions will be vital in enriching their lives and creating a vibrant community. Develop and oversee a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs of residents. Plan and coordinate events that foster social interaction and engagement. Collaborate with staff to ensure activities align with therapeutic goals. Evaluate resident participation and satisfaction to continuously improve programs. Train staff on best practices for facilitating activities. Maintain records of resident participation and progress. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages resident involvement.] Must have a RAD certificate Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within a healthcare setting. Strong background in assisted living or nursing home environments. Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory care best practices. Excellent communication skills to engage with residents and families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate approach towards senior care and individuals with disabilities. Experience in caregiving or long-term care is preferred.
