Job Description

The Programs Associate is a key member of the Independent Lifestyle team at Newbury Court, supporting a vibrant, engaging, and resident-centered community experience. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing programs and events. Position Summary The Programs Associate plans, develops, and implements a broad range of programs, including trips, lectures, concerts, social gatherings, parties, educational opportunities, and recreational activities. The role works closely with residents, resident committees, and internal departments to ensure programs are well-organized, meaningful, and delivered at a high standard. Essential Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate resident programs and activities based on resident interests, community needs, and committee feedback.
  • Collaborate with resident committees to identify opportunities for entertainment, social connection, education, recreation, and lifelong learning.
  • Schedule programs, reserve rooms and venues, and coordinate logistical details for events held at Newbury Court.
  • Partner with departments across the community to ensure events are planned and executed smoothly, safely, and professionally.
  • Prepare and publish the monthly activities calendar in both electronic and printed formats.
  • Communicate information clearly and consistently to residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor resident participation, satisfaction, and feedback to support continuous improvement and cost-effective programming. Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs, timelines, and logistical details simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, staff, volunteers, committees, vendors, and community partners.
  • Comfort using electronic calendars, communication tools, and basic office technology. Desired Qualities
