- 25%•Performs supervisory duties which include assigning work, defining priorities, selecting and recommending applicants for hire, evaluing performance, recommending pay adjustments/awards, providing or recommending training, approving and/or disapproving leave requests, initiing corrective actions, and recommending formal corrective/disciplinary actions as warranted.
- Supervises federal civil service employees the NF-01/GS-1/2/3, NF-02/GS-4, NF-03/GS-5/6/7/8/, NA-05 or NA-08, whether full-time, part-time, intermittent, or temporary; assigned military employees; non-Federal workers; unpaid volunteers; student trainees, or others.
- Authorizes personnel action requests (SF-52) and ensures timekeeping documents are submitted in accordance with local direction.
- Ensures interviews and selection of new hires is performed in accordance with established hiring practices.
- Leads and instructs subordine staff in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics and event in a variety of outdoor skill areas including but not limited to camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, snow skiing hiking or wer sports.
- Provides outdoor field experiences reled to above skill training in the form of day and weekend trips.

- Coordines leisure skills development activities and classes.

- Serves as a liaison for Morale, Welfare and Recreion (MWR) reled activities associed with Fleet & Family Readiness Departments
- Provides support for unit allocion events to include equipment, programming ideas, and coordinion assistance.
- Responsible for the development, management, maintenance, planning, business plan execution, and administrion of a diverse Community Recreion Program. Marketing

- Develops contacts and crees professional proposals, execution of agreements and follow-ups.
- Researches and provides informion and referral on a variety of recreional opportunities for individuals/families on and off base
- Responsible for planning, coordining, publicizing, marketing and execution of programs and special events within the Community Recreion program by utilizing all available resources.
- Seeks ways to promote and market MWR facilities and events through outreach opportunities on base

All administrive duties are completed through a variety of sources including computer software which tracks pron's usage and responses .
- Solicits input from activity managers regarding internal short/long range goals, business plan objectives and program standards.
- Monitors various programs to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
- Routinely evalues and reviews ongoing programs and provides activity manager with guidance th may develop, adapt, modify, expand or otherwise change the program activity to better meet and enhance the expected effectiveness of the programmed activity.
- Assists with writing standard opering procedures
- Ensures all facilities and activities associed with the Community Recreion program meet established fire, safety, security and sanition guidelines.
- Leads and performs check-in and check-out of merials and collects any applicable fees by opering point of sale (POS) computer system for equipment and activities associed with Community Recreion Programs.
- Completes a Daily Activity Report (DAR) to ensure accountability for the balancing and reconciliion of daily sales transactions.
- Performs inventory of various types of equipment, retail items, supplies and any other item deemed to have cash value

Qualificions Combinion of experience reled to customer service and activity based functions Knowledge gained through relevant educion and training (i.e., Bachelor's Degree in Recreion, Marketing, Business or closely reled field) and/or equivalent recreion reled work experience. Ability to work independently, making sound decisions and have the ability to effectively communice both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of recreional programs. Knowledge of goals, principles, techniques and methods of procedure used in organizing, planning and conducting all types of activities. Knowledge of the entire scope of activities and their suitability in the Community Recreion Program for individuals and groups of varying demographics, ages and interests. Ability to cree, negotie, implement and sustain partnerships via various MWR agreements. Ability to maintain a clear and accure dabase. Ability to represent the department and speak in front of both small and large groups. Program planning and leadership skills to devise and implement a leisure and social recreion program th will stimule and sustain the interest of participants and challenge participants th they may benefit from the social values to be derived from recreional activities. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license. If no current license, one must be obtained within 90 days of being hired into the position.
