If you have previous activities experience working within senior living facilities and truly enjoy working with seniors and within assisted living and senior living communities, this could be the job for you! The right candidate has excellent communication skills and experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration. Responsibilities Design a creative and exciting life enrichment program to meet the individual needs and interest of the community. Plan monthly life enrichment calendar. Participate in the review of service plans and regularly document life enrichment progress. Participate in discharge planning with other members of the management team. Assist in planning and carrying out fun and engaging events for both residents and marketing events; collaborating with the rest of the team. Plan and conduct outings with residents. Attend weekly Leadership meetings. Monitor Life Enrichment budgets, equipment, and supplies. Provide guidance and act as a resource to staff on the importance of life enrichment and other areas regarding the quality of life for residents. Ensure that Life Enrichment Programs meet all state, federal, and local regulations. Coordinate quarterly special events at the community. Develop and maintain contact with community agencies and organizations. Train, supervise, and coordinate volunteers. Comply with Residents' Rights policy and Community and Employee Policies and Procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience within a senior living community is required. Previous experience as a Activity/Lifestyle Director is preferred. Ability to work well unsupervised Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to socially interact and perform under pressure. Flexibility in scheduling is required; weekend availability. Ability to maintain positive and professional interactions with residents and families at all times. Experience with Microsoft Programs and/or other applicable software programs and basic computer skills. Associates Degree preferred.
