Recreation Therapist, CTRS 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Detroit, MI From $55 an hour - Contract Home and Community Recreation Therapy 2 reviews From $55 an hour - Contract Job description: Home & Community Recreation Therapy (HCRT) is seeking a contract CTRS to provide home and community based RT services. Sessions are generally provided on a 1:1 basis and implemented both in the client's home and community. Goals are to improve overall functional skills following the traumatic onset of a disability typically from a Motor Vehicle Accident. Majority of clients are diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. Primary caseload will be in the Oakland and Macomb County area but must be willing to travel.
Qualifications include:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation, maintains the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential, knowledge of complex neurological injury, minimum of 1-year experience with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury in community settings, a minimum of 1-year experience working with those with a Spinal Cord Injury is a preference, knowledge of Recreation Therapy program design and implementation, ability to work independently and part of a team, successfully complies with any/all competencies outlined in CTRS contract, has reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a regular basis, owns a smart phone with reliable internet services, and is proficient using Excel and Word required. Full-time or part-time positions available, very flexible hours, competitive hourly wage, schedule may include some weekends and nights. Applicants can be employed elsewhere while working for HCRT.
