Job Description

We are looking for the right person to assist the
ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR
in providing daily, weekly, monthly and annual social, cultural, educational and fitness programs for our residents at The Village at Appledorn in Holland, MI. This includes transportation with The Village's Bus to events, grocery stores, and banks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Education and/or experience in working with the senior population, organizational, creative, outgoing and personable, must also have some working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher, Word & Excel. Part Time (28 hours) flexible hourly position. Flexibility to cover evening and weekend activities, as needed. Flexible to work with the work schedule as delegated by the Activities Director. Ability to achieve CDL License, as notated further in this job description may be required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The
ACTIVITIES AIDE
shall develop and display an enthusiastic and cheerful attitude about The Village and endeavor to develop the same attitude in the other employees on the property. By doing so, a more satisfactory relationship between the management and the residents will be maintained. 2. The
ACTIVITIES AIDE
will maintain on-site office hours for assisting the Activities Director in planning social programs and meeting with residents but will be flexible with the working schedule. Other hours will be determined by the weekly activity schedule, not to exceed 28 hours per week. 3. The
ACTIVITIES AIDE
will report directly to the Community Director.
