Job Description

Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Activities Staff to join our team. The hours are from 8:30am to 5pm Monday and Thursday. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community care and a passion for working with individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. The pay of $21.60 per hour includes $3.40 per hour in "Premium Hero Pay". The hourly $3.40 is paid to employees one time per month on a separate check. Responsibilities Develop and implement a variety of recreational activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents. Facilitate social events, games, and outings that encourage participation and foster community among residents. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess residents' needs and preferences for activities. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants during activities. Provide support to residents during activities, ensuring their comfort and engagement. Skills Experience in home community care or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities. Background in nursing home or assisted living environments is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while being adaptable to changing needs. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
