A Recreational Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

The candidate will provide individual, mental health counseling services to our clients. LSCS gives preference to candidates who are self-motivated, thorough in their work ethic and credentialed with Missouri Medicaid. LSCS Provides:
Manageable client roster Documented licensure hours (3,000) No cost supervision included (PLPC) Flexible schedule Monthly travel stipend
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide consistent weekly individual therapy (in-person) Complete and submit documentation per the required timeframes Have thorough knowledge of therapeutic tools to enhance the client experience Meet all contracted requirements while maintaining open communication
Qualifications:
Must have completed accredited Masters program Must be able to pass a background check Missouri Medicaid credentialing preferred
Required License:
Currently under or pursuing supervision (PLPC)
