CNA/Care Assistant / Lifestyle Lead — Part-Time

Rosewood Memory Care is a small, private residential memory care home in Charlotte, NC. We provide personalized care in a beautiful home environment for residents living with dementia and other cognitive changes. We are hiring a part-time Care Assistant / Lifestyle Lead for 2 shifts per week . This is not a traditional facility CNA role. This position requires someone who can provide excellent hands-on care while also helping create a meaningful, engaging day for each resident. Position Overview The Care Assistant / Lifestyle Lead supports residents with daily care needs while also helping lead activities, engagement, household flow, and the overall environment of the home. This role is best for someone who is dependable, emotionally mature, observant, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include:

Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, mobility, meals, and daily routines Supporting residents with dementia using patience, redirection, and calm communication Helping lead and participate in life enrichment activities throughout the day Encouraging residents to stay engaged socially, physically, creatively, spiritually, and intellectually Supporting outings/community experiences when scheduled Helping maintain a clean, calm, organized, and homelike environment Noticing resident changes and communicating concerns to leadership Completing assigned tasks without needing repeated reminders Working as part of a small team where everyone helps with care, engagement, cleaning, meals, and resident support Requirements Applicants must have: At least 1-2 years of CNA or direct care experience Experience working with older adults, dementia care preferred Ability to provide hands-on personal care Ability to help lead meaningful resident engagement, not just "watch" residents Valid driver's license and comfort driving residents as needed Reliable transportation Strong attendance and dependable work history Ability to manage the home environment and stay productive during slower moments A complete resume with accurate employment history We Are Looking For Someone Who Is A self-starter Calm under pressure Kind, patient, and respectful Comfortable with both care tasks and lifestyle/engagement tasks Organized and observant Reliable with consistent work history Able to work independently and as part of a small team Comfortable in a residential care setting where staff are expected to stay active and engaged Please Note Applicants with incomplete resumes, unclear employment history, frequent short-term job changes without explanation, or limited direct care experience may not be considered.

Pay:

$21.00 per hour Application Question(s): How many years of CNA or direct care experience do you have? Do you have experience assisting residents with bathing, toileting, dressing, incontinence care, transfers, and meals? Are you comfortable providing both personal care and leading resident engagement activities during the same shift? This position includes care, engagement, light housekeeping, meals, laundry, and keeping the home organized. Are you comfortable with that full scope?
