The Activities & Arts Coordinators are responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading engaging creative arts, enrichment, and recreational activities for campers. This position helps create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where youth can explore their creativity, develop new skills, build confidence, and strengthen relationships with their peers.
Job Duties:
Plan and facilitate daily arts, crafts, music, drama, dance, and cultural enrichment activities. Develop weekly activity schedules aligned with camp themes and learning objectives. Lead interactive group activities, team-building exercises, and special events. Coordinate recreational games and indoor/outdoor enrichment activities. Assist with camp-wide celebrations, talent showcases, performances, and family engagement events. Prepare activity materials and maintain arts and enrichment supplies. Ensure activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and welcoming for all campers. Supervise campers during activities, field trips, and special events. Encourage creativity, self-expression, leadership, and positive social interaction. Collaborate with camp staff to support literacy, wellness, and character development initiatives. Maintain a safe and organized activity environment. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and program planning sessions. Assist with camper check-in, check-out, and other camp operations as needed. //www.buildinghopenc.org/ Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) Required Qualifications Experience working with children, youth programs, camps, schools, churches, or community organizations. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lead groups of children in a positive and engaging manner. Demonstrated creativity and enthusiasm for youth development.
