Overview:

United Methodist Homes Elizabeth Church Campus is seeking a dedicated Activities Leader to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents in our Assited Living and long-term care setting. This position is a fulltime position which includes weekend rotation, evening shifts and holidays.

Responsibilities:

•Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities for residents in a nursing home or memory care facility Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents Coordinate events, outings, and group activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation Manage schedules effectively to ensure all planned activities run smoothly

•Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand individual needs and preferences Provide support and care to residents during activities while promoting independence Offer aging issues counseling and support as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in long-term care, caregiving, or recreational therapy preferred

•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and plan events effectively Knowledge of event planning and recreational activities suitable for elderly populations Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with residents and their families Understanding of aging issues and the ability to provide appropriate support and care Joining our team as an Activities Leader offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents while working in a supportive environment dedicated to enhancing their quality of life.
