Centers Health Care is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to support engaging, person-centered programs for residents in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. You'll assist in planning and leading therapeutic recreation, social, and wellness activities that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities include preparing materials, transporting and motivating residents, documenting participation, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment. Responsibilities Assist in planning and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities Lead individual and group activities that support physical, cognitive, and social well-being Prepare activity materials, equipment, and spaces for safe use Escort and motivate residents to participate in scheduled programs Observe and document resident participation and responses to activities Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to support care plans Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive activity environment Support special events, outings, and holiday programs Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff Follow all facility policies, including infection control and safety procedures Required Skills Activity planning and coordination Therapeutic recreation techniques Resident engagement and communication Basic documentation and recordkeeping Mobility assistance and safe transfers (non-clinical) Time management and scheduling Behavior redirection and de-escalation basics Infection control and hygiene practices Group facilitation Basic computer skills (EHR or activity tracking)
