Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing diverse recreational programs tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific activities Help coordinate special events and outings that promote social engagement and community involvement through event planning expertise Monitor residents during activities to ensure safety, engagement, and enjoyment while providing encouragement and support Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to address individual needs related to aging issues counseling and senior care Maintain accurate documentation of participation in activities and resident progress to support personalized care plans Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure smooth operation of daily programming within assisted living or long-term care environments Skills Strong communication skills for engaging residents, team members, families, and community partners effectively Experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a focus on Alzheimer's care, memory care, or dementia care is highly desirable Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques tailored for individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments.
